Great Great Great Belgian Team! These Red Devils won again yesterday keeping us until the end on the edge of our seats… A bit like our main character who was about to decline a special invite in the last episode, and then…
”Hello! I have a very busy schedule, but I think that I can find some time for a dinner with you tomorrow. Where do we meet?”
Mr Hermit, our now famous Belgian friend, comes to pick me up at home. When he rings the bell I check the car from the window… It’s a powerful, elegant, and (50 shades of) gray. It is an Audi. Yessssss, Mr Hermit, I don’t know you yet and I already love you!
He brings me to a cosy restaurant downtown, nothing too fancy, but very cute. We chit chat pleasantly – ok ok I talk a lot, but he gets the chance to say something too – until he asks for the bill. I try to pay my part and he refuses: “No, this one is on me” he affirms like a real man. Ooooooh so different than the other Belgians who don’t know that talking about money on the first date is so disgraceful (see Mr. Magic Cake).
Mr Hermit… We might go on a second date ((( – : Basically you have been so successful in the Evathlon that I can only say… ”Gioia, I was thinking… I had other plans for next Saturday, but why don’t we do something together in the afternoon? Let me know”.
