1 Teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
2 Cups sugar
1 Cup oil
1 Cup buttermilk
2 Teaspoons vanilla extract
Red food coloring
1 Teaspoon vinegar
1/2 Cup hot coffee
For the frosting: Mix 1/2 cup butter, 225 gr Philadelphia, 2-3 cups powder sugar
Recipe: Preheat the oven 180 degrees. In a bowl whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa and salt. Dedicated to… Heeeere we go, it’s Saint Valentine’s Day again and I need to write something in the blog section named LOVE… You might have noticed that in this section there are not so many men, luckily enough I was REALLY in love only 2-3 times in my life. So voila’, today I would like to introduce Mr Denzel, my last real love and the living, sublime, and outstanding twin of Denzel Washington ( – ;
Wonderful, he was my sunshine, he could take me to a higher ground then knock me off my feet, he inspired me, what he made me feel inside was amazing, he could touch my soul, he was my hero, he was wonderful, so beautiful, so powerful. Next to him I felt the woman in red, the girl blue, the black, or the golden lady too (Wonderful by India Aire)
But our relationship was too much like a roller-coaster, not even one moment to breathe, an endless surprise party, a spy story with continuous plot twists. The only constant was our Sunday schedule: late wake-up, a hot bath, a loooot of cuddles, a rich brunch, baking the velvet cake (Mr Denzel’s mom recipe of course), some dominoes, relax on the sofa, a nice movie and finally a call. The call. His call.
His call to HIS WIFE! Yes, this was one of the big surprises he brought back from his summer holidays in Florida after 3 months we were dating. He got married to one of his ex-girlfriends, for tax reasons or something like that. Oh well, she never bothered us, she was never around even when she would be very welcome, and Mr Denzel was forgiven. What really drove me mad, though, was that after 3 years of roller-coaster he wanted to go steady: he loved me, he understood that nobody would never love him more than me, he was divorcing. What?? I’m not ready to go steady, man, in a perfect world that’d be off the heezy, but no… talk to ma hand: NO, THANKS! Bitterness please go awaaaaaaaaay
